ANOTHER CHAMP TAKEN DOWN IN THE UFC LAST NIGHT

At UFC 293 we had a hell of a fight between Alexander Volkov and Tai Tuivasa. Volkov ended up finishing Tai with a rare Ezekiel choke in the second round. There was a clear size advantage in that fight but the heart and technique of Tuivasa made the fight very interesting. As interesting as the first round and a half was the last couple minutes were just domination. As soon as Volkov secured his position on top is was too much for the already beaten down Tuivasa. To follow up that fight we were gifted Adesanya vs. Strickland. The two strikers went the distance and at the end Strickland came out of relatively unscathed. Adesanya on the other hand was pretty damn close to being knocked out but recovered last second and got Strickland off of him. For some reason Strickland's two punch combo kept Izzy off balance and he just couldn't get a read on it. After the end of first round near finish the second round was pretty dry with not a lot of shot landed but even to that point you could feel Stickland might've been up 2-0 on the cards. Strickland proceeded to pick Israel apart in the next two rounds and in the final moments Sean started to mock the fact Israel would not try to finish him knowing he was behind on points. To me he's not wrong Strickland dominated most of the fight. I mean just compare faces, Adesanya was looking pretty rough and really just was helpless against Sean's defense. Strickland is a very interesting fighter with how he keeps his opponent in very close which almost makes it easier to defend leg kicks. You could tell it frustrated Adesanya. All in all it was a very tactical battle between the two champions but Sean just looked like he was on another level. I hope they run this fight back .
